Morning Prayers

Oh God and Goddess, Lord and Lady, give me grace for this day.
Not for a lifetime, not for next week, nor for tomorrow, just for today.
Direct my thoughts and bless them,
Direct my work and bless it.
Direct the things I say and do,
And bless them too.
Direct and bless all that I think and speak and do.
So that for this day,
I have the gift of grace that comes from your presence.
So mote it be.

Wakan Tanka, Great Spirit, give me grace for this day.

Trees are the altars.
Life is the gift, Nature the focus.
I am a witch serving the old gods.
I also serve the inner temple.
When I treat myself and others as keys to that temple,
I come close to the spark that resides within as without.
To walk through life as though the world is one enormous temple,
Is the secret of grace.
So mote it be.

Grandmother Earth is the temple.
Her creatures are the altars.
Life is the gift, respect the focus.
I am but one child among Her many children.
I also serve the inner temple.
When I walk in beauty seeking balance, I am one with creation.
To walk through life as though Wakan Tanka is everywhere in everything,

I thank You for another day. I ask that You give me the strength to walk worthily this day so that when I lie down at night I will not be ashamed.

Thank you for all the things that happened today, the good as well as the bad.

Emotional, Physical, Mental Health (Belly to Ground, Head Toward North)
Grandmother Earth, please send your healing energy through this body and bring it back into balance.

Find an Answer To a Problem (Facing East, Think About Problem)
Grandfather Sun, you come each day to dispel darkness. In that same way I ask you to shed your light so that I may see where to take the next step.

Losing a Loved One (Facing South)
Help me to know my loved one is with the Great Spirit and has found rest and peace. One day we will be reunited, but until then I ask for help to keep going on in life.
